DOVER…

Today, we took a short bus trip to Dover Castle, expanded by William the Conqueror and Henry II. The site of the present day castle has been a fortification since Roman times, and the Romans built upon the foundations of earlier forts. The fortified castle has played a role in medieval wars and other wars, as well as during WWII.
